Stunning Engagement Rings

The concept of engagement rings for men has been long into existence. However, during the Second World War, this tradition gained more popularity than ever. Today engagement rings for men are very common and are considered as important as the rings for women.

The rings for men are a symbol of the couple’s love, devotion and commitment. Men normally wear their rings on their left hand’s ring finger, until it is replaced by a wedding ring. Some men even continue to wear it after marriage.

There is a major difference between the bands of men and women. Men’s rings need to be sturdy and hard so that the metal cannot be scratched easily as men have more outdoor activities and their bands can be easily damaged. Generally, the metals preferred for men’s rings are platinum, titanium, yellow gold and white gold. Titanium and platinum are considered to be the most durable and scratch-free metals, and therefore should be preferred. Silver, on the other hand, gets discolored and scratches easily.

Although gemstones are not usually used in men’s engagement rings as these are preferred with a masculine look, yet some men do prefer bands with diamonds or some small gemstones. As for the metals, two-tone rings look very elegant and generally the metals used are white and yellow gold. Men’s three-tone bands which showcase a fabulous amalgamation of yellow, white and rose gold appear to be fabulous.

Normally, solid metal bands or braided-metal bands are liked and worn by men. Some rings are soldered with the wedding ring and worn by the men. In many instances, a matching pair of rings for men and women looks very elegant.
